Jay S. Holmes
Jay Holmes has held a lifelong interest in military history, leadership and team building. After graduating from college with a degree in economics and history, Holmes joined the United States Marine Corps where he served as a combat decorated officer in the Republic of Vietnam and later as an instructor at the Marine Corps Schools, Quantico, Virginia. Holmes credits the Marine Corps’ unique culture and superior leadership experience as a major contributing factor to his successful business career.
An accomplished business executive for over 30 years, Mr. Holmes spent the last 6 years of his corporate career as the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of a multi-billion dollar commercial finance institution.
In 2004 Jay joined Compass Leadership Group as a Managing Director. In 2005 he was promoted to President and CEO.
Jay is a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, American Legion, Marine Corps Association, Marine Corps League, Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He and his wife of over 30 years are “empty nesters” with three grown children. They reside in suburban Atlanta, Georgia.
